CRITICAL: IP Address Change Postponed

Internet2 is postponing the eduroam RADIUS server IP address change scheduled for November 15, 2018, to a future date. It is critical that you do not remove the old IP addresses from your RADIUS configuration.

It has become clear that over half of eduroam connectors may need more time before we change these IP addresses. Postponing will ensure that no one has an interruption in this important service.

IMPORTANT next steps for your organization:

For those that have configured RADIUS to support the new IP addresses: You can continue to send traffic to the new IP addresses without experiencing any interruptions in service. However it is CRITICAL that you DO NOT REMOVE the old IP addresses from your RADIUS configuration on 11/15 or until further notice.

For those that have NOT configured RADIUS to support the new IP addresses: Tell us why you haven’t made the change, or ask questions of us, by joining our office hours Monday-Friday November 12-16 between 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm ET. To join, dial: 1-669-900-6833 or 1-646-558-8656 and use the meeting ID: 573 916 275. You can come and go anytime during the hour.

We will email with a new date and time for this change after we learn more about why organizations haven’t switched.
