CRITICAL: IP Addresses Changing

Internet2 is in the process of changing IP addresses for the eduroam-US RADIUS servers. New IP addresses have been deployed and the old IP addresses will be removed on November 15, 2018. Until then both the new and old IP addresses will be functional.

If you do not add the new RADIUS clients and change your RADIUS proxies to the new IP addresses by November 15th, your eduroam service will no longer function after that date. Please note that you need to keep the current IP addresses through November 15th, as well.

Requests from eduroam will continue to come from the old IP addresses until November 15th at which time they will start coming from the new IP addresses. You can start sending your requests to the new IP addresses at any time.

Here are the steps that you will need to follow NOW:
  1. Keep the old IP addresses as client as they will continue to be the source until November 15th.
  2. Add RADIUS clients for the new IP addresses so that you can begin to receive requests from them.
  3. Change your RADIUS proxies to point to the new IP addresses.
  4. If you are using DNS entries to route requests to the TLRS servers, perform one service restart now. You will need to perform another after November 15th (to ensure that your service sees the updated DNS entries).
Here are the steps you will need to follow AFTER November 15th:
  1. Remove the old IP addresses from your client list.
  2. If you are using DNS entries to route requests to the TLRS servers, perform your second service restart.
